This time, I think I'll say that I'm against deregulating FA guns, just to change it up a bit.

A gun is a gun, no matter how fast it shoots or what size it may be. No reason to regulate any firearm.

check the linky on the first post. It got killed before its time. Basically tc556guy stated that folks who were for deregulation of NFA stuff were a fringe element, someone else stated that it is a mainstream thing here, and I got curious as to what the truth of the matter was. Then 82nd nixed it saying I called tc556guy out, which I didn't. So here it is again in glorious technicolor.

explain why then. are they more "dangerous" than any other firearm? are you afraid of them? or are you just afraid of what your ammo budget would turn into if they deregulated them?

Reasoning? I ain't here to bash, I just want to know what your thoughts on the matter are, or if you just are the contrary type.

Keep in mind I voted for Clinton once, so I am fully capable of realizing any error in my ways.

They are not any more dangerous then any firearm, I am not scared of them either. I just don't like the idea of some 12 year old dumass MS13 wannabe being able to buy an AK at the corner store for $100

hate to break it to ya bub but that happens already in border states.
EDIT: and if they arent any more dangerous than other guns then why would it matter if a "dumass(sic) MS13 wannabe" bought one?

Last time I checked, minors cannot purchase firearms from an FFL dealer.
Neither can felons.

Criminals always have guns, and always will have guns. If they ever ban semi autos here in the US, there will be no point in fucking around with the bastardized weapons that us law abiding citizens enjoy...

But if they were unregulated, they could. Laws like being over 18 and not a felon are "regulations"

I havent seen a semi auto chop shop kit AK go for $100, I highly doubt a 12 year old kid would be buying one for $300 either. Why would you give your kid that much? Why wouldnt you buy your own kid their first AK and teach them the fundamentals of marksmanship and how to safely and properly use that firearm so you dont cause an incident? There was a time when 6 and 7 year old children provided for their family shooting squirrels and rabbits all day long with no supervision whatsoever. Whats different from now and then?

completely unregulated AKs would go for the same price as kits go for now ($100) or less. Kit guns are bought at full rifles usally then "destroyed" Tust me enough kids have $100 at 12 years old especially the ones breaking into houses and stealing stuff.

Long ago people actually raised thier kids correctly insead of just letting them run free and have the government raise them for them. I uess people are more lazy now (of course speaking in general terms as there are some great parents out there)

No, they wouldn't.

See, under your supposed scenario, the demand for AKs by the average street thug and twelve year old would rapidly drive the cost to the breaking point. Full auto, unregulated guns would cost more than a semi-auto chop copy does now.

Course, that's if we were living in your nightmare landscape where everyone would flock to buy their weapon of destruction at the drop of a hat.

As it is, the people who really want this shit now, have it. And the law did not stop them.

You buy a kit for $100, not a complete rifle. Complete rifles start at $300, and thats a good deal. The problem lies with parents, not firearms or availability. No laws can protect you from a malicious child, they can only prosecute the child and/or parents after you have been victimized.
