You trying to tell me I'm not perfect just the way I am?
Link Posted: 7/31/2005 9:23:06 PM EDT
I've had a couple of rum & cokes so yeah.....I guess you could say I'm happy.....question is....are you?
Link Posted: 7/31/2005 9:23:18 PM EDT
Not really...my career sucks, I can't buy an AR, and I'll never be able to afford a house in my home state. I haven't been laid since the Bronze Age, and I quit drinking soda. What's there to be happy about?

(But besides that, I guess I'm happy...I have food in my belly, a roof over my head, and I'm not in any major debt. I have a few really good close friends, and I just built a new computer. Things could be a lot worse. I just wish I didn't have to wake up at 5:35am tomorrow and struggle through Orange County/Los Angeles morning traffic.)
Link Posted: 7/31/2005 9:25:58 PM EDT
I'm content but I still have more to pursue.
Link Posted: 7/31/2005 9:26:44 PM EDT
Of course I'm happy , I'm a man .

Which means I've never faked an orgasm

Whoa hold on there, religion has nothing to do with happiness, it is a state of mind that religion may or may not support that brings happiness. It depends on the person.

You have to remember that all religions are buisnesses, if they weren't then everyone employed by them would be volunteers as per the "serve your fellow man" theory. They are self serving organizations just like all buisnesses. I am not saying that that is bad, there are plenty of companies that really do help people. But the theory that happiness requires religion is not always true.

Actually a lot of churches operate in a non-profit way in such a way that the pastors have to take second jobs to make end's meat.Wealthy pastors are a rare thing to see and that's only from their second jobs. Don't group all religions into the "televangical" category. As for me, I don't belong to a specific church. I consider myself an "independent protestant". Not that I'm against people going to church, a lot of people need and and some that don't go could really benefit from it. It's just that I prefer my self-pursuing enlightenment on the Christian faith using the Bible as a guide.

Must be something in the concrete.

And the funny part is, a lot of people are miserable from their jobs. I cant imagine doing something I didnt like to do. That would suck.

"Close to half mil in debt"?........

"God's been testing me a long time"

Have you answered his essay questions? That might help.

I'm pretty damn happy.

I'm sexier than hell, my dork keeps growing by the inch, and my wallet keeps filling up now matter how much I empty it. Oh, and the ladies, they love me.

Yup, pretty damn good to be me.

<cough>
Link Posted: 7/31/2005 10:01:10 PM EDT
Mostly.

Sometimes I get really introspective and ponder things like the meaning of it all and the bleakness of mans existence.

Then the pizza shows up and I'm pretty happy.

Ruptured/collasped L5 disc will not let me to even begin being happy.

I am sightly less unhappy knowing you are happy. Thats the best I can hope for right now.

I'm going to graduate with good grades next year, I know what my gift is, I've got my health and family, I feel good about the future, and God has helped my life work out so far. The little bumps, like losing my wallet with credit cards, driver's license, student ID, SS card and $125, aren't enough to bring me down. I'm happy.

Happiness ,is a warm gun !

Ask me when the hot part of the day is over ,
and I'm back at the range !

You have to find things in life that make you happy.

Some are small ,and easy to get and keep.

Others require GETTING OFF YOU ARSE
and pursuing them with all you've got.

After attaining them, you must fight to keep them.

Just a thought .

Right now my career is like the movie "Office Space."

I just want to be put in a trance and think that I have been fishing/hunting or working outside all day instead of working in an office.
