Any of Clints characters would eat John Waynes characters alive any day.
ETA. Whistle Dixie is what I would have done.

awesome movie
this and Pale Rider are my favorite Clint westerns |
Josey Wales is my hero. My dad loved that movie, and his love for it transferred to me.
My favorite quote is: Bounty Hunter: You're wanted, Wales. Josey Wales: Reckon I'm right popular. You a bounty hunter? Bounty Hunter: A man's got to do something for a living these days. Josey Wales: Dyin' ain't much of a living, boy. |

No offense, none taken!
Buzzards have to eat, same as the worms. how is it at getting out stains? |

Actually Red Legs had the best quote: Captain Redlegs: We get Wales and then we go after the others. Fletcher: What others? Captain Redlegs: Texas is teamin' with rebels. Lots of work to do in Texas. Fletcher: We get Wales and it ends! Captain Redlegs: Doin' right ain't got no end. |

It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is
iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life. |
Pull pistols on Josey Wales? Are ya'll CRAZY?
Only if I'm behind a Mini gun with the butterfly half-depressed. |
Try to take a shot everytime he spits. If you can make it through the whole movie without passing out, then you have an iron liver.
"When I get to likin' someone, they around long"
"I noticed when you get to dislikin' someone, they around long, either" |

Josey Wales: Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is.

I didn't surrender, but they took my horse and made him surrender. They have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I bet.
. |

Jamie: I wish we had time to bury them fellas.
Josey Wales: To hell with them fellas. Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms. |

This boy was brought up in a time of blood and dying and never questioned a bit of it. He never turned his back on his folks or his kind. I rode with him... and I got no complaints.

I wouldn't pull a pistol on Clint. That's just, plain stupid. I'll whistle Dixie, thank you very much.
Hint: Never start a fight with a guy who has the following in his favor: 1. He has top billing, and you're just a glorified extra.
2. The screenwriters like HIM, not YOU. 3. He has a picture deal to make another movie in this series, and YOU DON"T. |
I get saddened watching any current movies he stars in because it shows that he really is just a mortal man and is aging to fast...
I would gladly do both, pull the pistols while whistling Dixie.

There's another old saying Senator, don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.

One of the best damned westerns , EVER !
Quoted:
One of my favorites: "pull emule." "nblaaaaayeee." One of the guys I work with will say one half of that , and I the other ( it'll switch back and forth over a job ) The younger kids we've got working with us look at us like were retarded . |
Josey Wales: When I get to liking someone they ain't around long.
Lone Watie: I notice when you get to disliking someone, they ain't around for long neither. |
How did John Wayne get involved in this discussion?
I bet in their prime JW would kick the living shit out of CE. CE is a great entertainer but can't hold a candle to JW. JW defined 2 entire generations. CE just makes Hollywood. |

It's a good thing you stopped me. I might have killed her. Best Supporting Actor if ever there was one!!!
One of the first movies I remember going to see in the theater.
Fletcher: Damn you, Senator. You promised me those men would be decently treated.
Senator Lane: They were decently treated. They were decently fed and then they were decently shot. Those men are common outlaws, nothing more. Quoted:

JW defined 2 entire generations. CE just makes Hollywood. A comparison is going to come up whenever one of them is brought up. Its just the way it is. I like Eastwood , he's from "my" generation. Wayne was long before my time. They're both great actor's, tho and I enjoy watching both of thier movies. Its a downright shame that today's generation doesnt have thier own movie star cowboy to look up to. Thats the one true fucked up part about this subject. |

I bet in his prime he was a tough son of a bitch. |
Quoted: I voted with my feet; whistle Dixie and get the hell out. This. No reason to die needlessly. |
Betsy Potter:
Let's try some arithmetic. If you had six apples and your neighbor took three apples. What would you have? Evil Roy Slade: A dead neighbor and all six apples. |
Quoted:
I will endeavor to persevere........................ Love that one. Always muttering it to myself when challenged with something. My wife thinks I'm nuts because of the random movie quotes I'm always throwing-out there. |
