Does anybody know about the number of gun shops in New Orleans? What about Wal-Marts? Are they allowed to sell guns in that area? IF so, I wonder if any have been looted. And what about ammo?

Didn't NO sue the gun makers for making guns or some such shit? As a rule big city's don't like guns so there is no telling. However, since wally-world has um I would think that there must be some shops in town.

edit: If you owned one would you have left when ordered to do so?

There are were several, I bought my FNP-9 from one downtown.

Who wants to bet that wallyworld stops selling guns now because of this? I mean company policy store wide.

There's an outstanding store in Gretna which is just across the river
from New Orleans. When I lived there many years ago, it was owned
by a retired South African policeman. You had to buzz to get in; but
once inside, the place was a veritable museum of all kind of firearms including
custom double rifles in African big game calibers.

It was there that I bought the first S&W "L" frame revolver ever sold in
Louisiana. That was supposed to be Smith's answer to the Colt Python.

The folks who worked there really knew their products and
treated their customers with respect.

Was that the place with standing sets of authentic antique armor on display/for sale? (Can't recall the name - close to the Court of the Two Sisters IIRC) I hadn't been there in years, but I loved to wander through there and drool...
