Semiauto.  Seems with the 9 and .380 being so close in size, it would be easy to do.  I've got a Glock 36, which is single stack and small, but when you put it next to a P380, it's huge.

It's not so easy.  Max pressure on the .380 is 21,000 PSI.  It's 35,000 PSI for standard pressure 9mm and 38,500 for +p.  Then you have +p+, subgun, and 9mm Major that don't have an actual SAAMI spec but are all considerably hotter.  You need some sort of mass to contain that much pressure.

None as small that I know of.
Some are pretty close though.

This.

Close in exterior cartridge dimensions has little to do with it. Generally, two entirely different operating systems used between those two cartridges.

XDs 45 4.0" is barely larger than a G43, same width
Xds 9 3.3 would be best bet to get the smallest one that is easiest to control

XDS close to an LCP!!??  The slide weighs more than an LCP does.  The PM/CM9 from Kahr are close, but still noticeably larger.  If fact of the top 3 carry 9's I sell Shield/G43/XDS, the XDS is the largest and heaviest.

A little bit bigger than a P380, but S&W Shield in 45 ACP, 40 S&W, or 9mm
I think XD has a single stack 45 also, but I've never handled one of those

Edit for spellcheck

This is about as close as you'll get, thinnest, lightest 9mm semiauto available.

I just got a Sig p938, not quite as small, but at 16 oz, I'm not sure I'd want to shoot it much if it were lighter. It's not fun to shoot after a box 124gr HST and a box of 124 NATO.

Kel Tec gets a lot of flak around here, but mine goes 'bang' every time.

This thread is going to be great. Durrrr, my Glock 19 isn't much bigger than an LCP.

AMT backup .45 ACP is only slightly bigger in physical size than a Keltec P3AT

But the downside really outweigh the benefits:

1. It is fucking heavy because it is all stainless

2. The trigger is a very heavy DAO type even after some work (beyond a fluff and buff)

3. No sights, just a channel milled down the center of the slide

4. It is an AMT

5. Did I mention it is heavy

I have the 3.3 .45 and its not terrible, pretty accurate out to 25 yards.

OP is asking for a tall order. Based on first hand knowledge I gave him an option. I know it was not exactly what he is looking for but the only advice I could offer based on what I own/have shot.
