Never invite the man into your life.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/12/20/are-regulations-crippling-oregons-fledgling-marijuana-market.html

"Oregon is rolling out its new recreational cannabis market, but pro-pot groups say state regulations are already choking producers and retailers.

The regulations, implemented Oct. 1, mandate the most stringent pre-sale testing requirements of any regulated cannabis market in the United States. The rules, which apply to dispensaries, growers and anyone who transfers marijuana for ultimate sale to consumers, set guidelines for pot labeling, transferring, packaging, testing and concentration limits."

They're basically trying to put all but the largest companies involved out of business.

It's amazing how all of the people that smoked before it was legal were perfectly happy with no consumer protections.  The irony is that the idea of legalization is about getting government out of peoples' lives.

Surprise, a whole bunch of bullshit they never thought they would need to deal with.

I'm pretty sure the pot stores sell only premium stuff and its expensive, pot heads don't have a lot of disposable income so they'll keep smoking what they have been smoking anyway.

There are at least 20 dispensaries within 5 miles if my house.  All doing a very brisk business.  Next door neighbor is a supplier.  New regs don't seem to be causing too many problems.

I thought some of the "Legalization" arguments were to put that crap into the mainstream to tax it, and regulate it? And because of the miraculous medicinal benefits that no other drug could replicate. Sounds like they got their legalization and now there are sour grapes. Too bad, so sad.

And yet somehow they managed to snag 54 million in taxes so far according to an article I read a week or so ago. I suspect they will find a way to make more taxes, which is all they will care about.

Exactly what they are doing to the vaping/ecig market on the federal level.

And no, not surprising.
I am sure the CA state government will do the same with weed here.
