I am new to ipods, so school me, is it any good? Can I play regular mp3s on it or is it some proprietary file extension?

Got the wife one for x-mas.Best thing I ever got her.I dont know about mp3's I just use Itunes and rip CD's and buy some of the newer stuff.

Well worth the money.I got her the Altec Lansing InMotion to plug it into. She listens to it all day!It sounds kickass and has good bass to

It's pretty cool. My friend has one.

But I should warn you. If you don't think you will actually watch movies and TV shows on that screen, save your money and don't get a video IPod.

Depending on how many songs you want to have on it the Ipod nano may be good. I think it holds 1000 songs but you can delete and quickly change them

Originally I cheaped out and bought the Dell Jukebox, the sound was terrible. So, I sold that and bought the 30GB IPod, a would of difference from the Dell(much better then Dell). Whatever you do, do not get the IPOD Shuffle. My brother got the Shuffle as a gift for Christmas. With that one, you can't pick and choose which song to play, because their is no screen. IMO, either get the Nano or the regular IPOD. Also, get a case for it or at least a screen protector, the screen scratches pretty easy.
