BELLEVUE, WA - American firearms owners concerned about their Constitutional rights and national sovereignty are owed an apology from the United Nations, and specifically Undersecretary-General Jayantha Dhanapala, who has declared them as "security risks."

As American gun owners flood the U.N. with letters and e-mails protesting the July 9-20 conference on the small arms trade, Dhanapala said those protests have been turned over to U.N. security experts. A July 5 Associated Press report stated that the U.N. is investigating protests "from American gun enthusiasts" to see whether they constitute "a security threat."

"This is an absolute outrage," declared Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF). "How dare the U.N. consider legitimately concerned American gun owners as 'security threats'? Citizens in this country have a right, guaranteed in our Constitution, to keep and bear arms. They are going to guard that right zealously, because it is what has kept America from becoming just another Third World dictatorship, and there are already enough of those on the map, as the U.N. certainly should know."

About 100 complaints from American gun owners have been received by the U.N. since this conference was announced. Dhanapala acknowledged that there were no threats of physical harm contained in any of the complaints, but he complained that the protests "were strongly worded." Dhanapala was quoted as saying, "What concerned me was that there was a widespread campaign. It's essentially a U.S.-based phenomenon."

Gottlieb retorted, "Of course it's a 'U.S.-based phenomenon.' It's our Constitutional right, and nobody else's, that is threatened by the U.N.'s suspicious interest in small arms possession. Where does Dhanapala think the U.N. is located, anyway? American colonists fought and died for our precious liberty not far from where Dhanapala has his cozy office. For him to claim that this conference is not a threat to the gun rights of American citizens is at best disingenuous.

"Dhanapala should be reminded," Gottlieb concluded, "that American citizens also enjoy a First Amendment right to free speech. When we exercise that right, to defend our Second Amendment, we do so with the same fervor that guided free Americans with guns to save the world 50 years ago from the oppression of fascist imperialism. Dhanapala and his U.N. colleagues may have forgotten that, but American gun owners haven't. For them to have their concerns answered with an insult demands an apology, and nothing less."

The Second Amendment Foundation is the nation's oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. SAF previously has funded successful firearms-related suits against the cities of Los Angeles, New Haven, CT, and San Francisco on behalf of American gun owners. Current projects include a damage action lawsuit against the cities suing gun makers, an amicus brief in support of the Emerson case holding that the Second Amendment is an individual right, a lawsuit against the Clinton gun and magazine ban and a lawsuit in Cincinnati supporting the right of self-defense carry of firearms.

The United Nations is hosting a "Small Arms Conference" in New York, July 9-20 2001. They have openly stated that their goal is complete, global civilian disarmament. The U.N. and their friends in Congress don't want a single gun in civilian hands, period. Your skeet gun and granddad's .22 are as much a target as the dreaded "assault weapons" (which are specifically protected by the Second Amendment). There is far more at stake than a mere hobby, more than our ability to defend ourselves from violent criminals.

Our Liberty and our Republic are in grave danger -
it's up to us to defend them.
The Washington State Tyranny Response Team is calling on all Citizens to gather at 11:00am, Saturday, July 14 at the steps of the Federal Courthouse Building in Seattle, at 1010 5th Avenue (5th and Madison) for a 'Rally and March against the United Nations' "gun control" agenda.

We will be marching from the courthouse down Madison Street to 4th Avenue, then up 4th to Westlake Park (approximately 6 blocks). There we will continue our rally with speakers and information tables.

Bring appropriate signs and flags, and feel free to bring any literature you think may be of interest to the viewing public.

You can download and print a Rally Poster (in Adobe Acrobat format) by clicking here. Please ask to post it at local gun shops, ranges and other public places.

We encourage participants to use carpools and public transit where possible. If driving, reasonably priced parking can be had in the Bon Marché parking garage at 3rd and Stewart (1 block northwest of Westlake Park). On-street and garage parking is also available near the U.S. Courthouse.

Food and restrooms are available in Westlake Center, across the street from Westlake Park.

We cannot allow an international body made up primarily of countries ruled by totalitarian dictatorships to determine domestic American policy. This is no idle threat. Under Article 6 of the US Constitution; when a treaty is ratified by the US Senate it becomes the "Supreme Law of the Land." The ramifications of a treaty with the UN which would raise the UN Declaration of Rights (a communist manifesto) over the United States Constitution are chilling. We must rise to challenge the "gun control" agenda. WSTRT is defending the Bill of Rights for ourselves and for future generations. Please join us! Arrive early for the best parking. The scumbags at the UNITED NATIONS are supported in their investigations by U.S. FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT through INTERPOL, who in turn use state, county, and local LAW ENFORCEMENT against Americans, to the benefit of the U.N.!!!!!!!!!!

This is how they AT THE uU.N. investigate any they deem a threat to their tyranny: INTERPOL is used to investigate American citizens, and the FBI allows it to happen and even help in the efforts, so it is not just the UNITED NATIONS that conspire to disarm the American people!

It was 1995 when the FBI through their annual publication, "TERRORISM IN THE UNITED STATES", which is distributed to LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, that declared Americans who expound upon traditional American ideals and values as terrorist, or a potential terrorist threat to the UNITED STATES. What is interesting here, is that, nowhere in this document does the phrase, "United States of America" appear, only "UNITED STATES" the corporation as defined in Blacks Law is used in this declaration by the FBI!

What most of you do not know, is that, the FBI labeled the Militia TERRORISTS at this time too! The reason for this is clear, for the mlitia is the only defense the people themselves have against an arbitrary form of government 9HISTORY: Athens Tenn. 1946). (Perpich Vs. DOD U.S.SUPREME COURT 1990) defines the militia as all the American people themselves, who are not members of the military or employeed in government, except for a few constitutional elected governmental types.

So while the UNITED NATIONS is a threat, those rogues officials, their employees, and or agents in our government who Aid & Abet in disarming American citizens are guilty at the very least of INSURRECTION, and eventually will need to be dealt with in no uncertain terms, when peaceful avenues accountability are exhausted! This is what is in everyones future, even though they are in complacent denial that it could happen!

The UN Building should be converted to Condos, and the worthless slug "diplomats" who don't obey our laws and conspire to take away our rights should be hog tied and thrown into an airplane cargo hold and deported to from whence they came.....
