I have the 20D as well. Thats about what I paid for it as too.
There are cheaper stores to buy from online, but I have heard bad stories about the ones you run across that are really cheap. Bought a 300D online as well as all my lenses and have had no problems. But I did a search about the companies ratings to make sure first. Make sure its not a grey market camera and it has Canons warrenty. I would buy the extended warrenty as well. Extra $300 though.

How do I know if the 20D I am buying is a grey market one?
Would it be bad for me to buy one off Ebay? I looked at the warrenty service for 20Ds at canons site and they said nothing about buying them from non authorized dealers. |

Specifically ask them. And ask them if they have the Canon warrenty as well.
If not, then they are not an authorized dealer. If you find a company and you are not sure of their reputation, look them up. Send me an IM maybe I will know. Its not worth sending your money to them to save $50 or $100. |
