I went to see Star Wars the other day, and didn't know that the theater I went to was one of the few chosen nationwide to show a 7 minute trailer to Dunkirk...

My gosh.. I was just stunned... As it kept going I wanted more and more... This really looks like it's going to be an epic movie...

My Google-fu has failed me in trying to locate and re-watch this trailer... Anyone else have better luck?

Sounds interesting. Dunkirk was a major turning point for the ETO of WW2.

Ummmmm... That's the two minute trailer that anyone can find on YouTube... I'm talking about the seven minute long trailer that was only released in select theaters nationwide.....

Saw it as well. The music was phenomenal. Sound effects were awesome. Probably most intense trailer I've ever seen.

I think the teaser trailer is the most effective.  When the poor bastards look up and hear the planes diving at them, my heart starts racing.

Saw it Saturday....loved the dogfighting. I wanna see it based on that alone.

Is this the one where they destroy an actual WW2 aircraft on purpose?
Link Posted: 12/19/2016 12:35:48 AM EST
I hope they cover the French units which stood and died in place so the Brits could escape......

That is so often overlooked.

My son showed me the two minute trailer the other day. We can't wait to see the movie. Looks like a great one.

Oh fuck yeah. I can't wait to see this movie. Went to Rogue One at an early Friday morning showing to avoid the crowds(between the early 9:45 showing and the icy roads it was only about 1/3 of the seats full), and when I heard those engines and saw the three fighters fly by, I ended up with some damn hard wood. The first short trailer was pretty damn spooky by itself, this added a whole new dimension. This movie is going to be AWESOME! Just sucks that we have to wait until July to see it.

Loved the long theatrical trailer...

"He's got me."

"I've got him."

It looked like one file of soldiers on the beach had P14 Enfields. I didn't think they were using those by then. Looks like a badass movie.

A bit of googling suggests that they were unlikely to be issued to troops who would have been at Dunkirk, due to the loss of weapons they were issued immediately after those events to supplement the low stock of newer rifles.

Thanks. I didn't think that it looked right. At least it wasn't the N4Mk1
