I don't know about the most recent Taurus', but these cars have had problems with their brakes. I have a 1999 four door and a friend of mine has a 2001 (I think). Both of these cars have a problem where the steering wheel shakes when you apply the brakes at highway speeds. Mine has been very difficult for even the Ford mechanics to fix. I've had about five brake jobs in the past 90,000 miles. They're really bad right now and everything was just replaced.
