Saying how bad "corporate funded science" and the like is, how "evil" it is that the jump is being "branded" by a company?

Only the government can provide such activities, comrade.

Private industry is the ONLY thing that'll innovate space for a long while.
They made sure of that. Stupid libtards.

Private companies/business will always out succeed the government.

Liberals/communists/socialists can not handle this fact.

I'm too busy noticing the people getting shit done to be concerned with the people trying to pul them back down.

If a crab tries to escape a pot, the other will pull it back down. Mindless, primitive organisms.

Private industry is what produced the space program. The government did not. The government just wrote the check.

Examples:

Apollo Command Module (CM) - North American Rockwell Corp. Space Div., Downey, Calif.
Apollo Lunar Module (LM) - Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corp., Bethpage, N.Y.
Apollo Launch Escape Subsystem(LES) - Lockheed Propulsion Co. & Thiokol Chemical Corp.

Not to mention the Chrysler Redstone and Saturn rockets.

Seriously, what percentage of my taxes the money I spend on Red Bull is going to fund this debacle?  Ridiculous

Actually, I heard no mention of it at all - so I sent an email to my entire department suggesting that they enjoy a decent distraction from what we're doing down here.  This is the human condition - we go to work and trade labor for funds we can use to acquire shelter and food.  Waking up one day and saying "I want to touch the face of God.  Better get on that."?  That's the human spirit.

Same.  Haven't heard any whining from libs, but I wouldn't be surprised.

The fact that this isn't surprising and that it is sure to be more than just a handful of people really makes me think our country and society in general is going to encounter some sort of SHTF scenario sooner rather than later. Ugh.

As it should be. I'm still trying to figure out how to get in on the Cameron/Google asteroid mining gig... That will pay off huge in the long run.

One of them needs to skip to the end and figure out it doesn't end well for them...

Haven't heard that argument yet, thankfully.

Glad redbull is doing this.  They'll probably do a better jobs, they've definitely done a hell of a Jon hyping it and keeping it covered so far, and the video will probably be better quality.

The redbull app on my phone is one of my favorites.  The company is the best thing to happen to action sports.
