I watched the original Series like it was a religion when I was young and then I watch some of the next generation but not every week like my dad and brother.  Then came Deep Space 9 and I loved it.  Voyager not as much.  Enterprise until I was deployed watched it and then it feel out of my main watching due to watching stuff with the wife.

I prefer the Original Series, Deep Space 9 and ENterprise (borrowed my brothers 3-4 Seasons) because one they all fall in line with a plot and not alot of jumping around.  It builds on each episode.  Not as much as the original series but DS9 and Enterprise does.  That is probally why I like Babylon 5 as well.

Never got into Voyager, but I LOVED Enterprise and TNG (Picard is my idea of a real Captain)! DS9 was good too.

I grew up on the original series but I now just think it was cheesy.

Others have pointed out the one-world socialist message inherent in the series, but it was good escapist fun.

I thought DS9 was the best of the genre, serialized and lots of Klingons.

Voyager was so-so, TNG was OK but it's hard to watch now, cheesy like TOS you know?

Enterprise never did much for me, I've tried to watch it on HDNET and just can't get into it.

I'd like to see a Klingon-centric series with a decent CGI budget.

IF you really like "serial" SCI_FI where each episode is a build up from last episodes AND you like DS9 and Babylon 5 then i wholeheartily recommend BAttlestar galatica. It is not only Better than DS9 it is on par or better than Babylon 5. And that is saying a LOT! Also, the writing team that made the next generation and DS9 are the ones writing for this series so its the same good writing. (i.e. Ronald d Moore, he wrote ALL the Good Next generation episodes)  If your a SCi-fi fan like me it a real "payback issue here" Back in the 1990s the Start trek franchise after Roodenberry died was taken over by Rick bermen and this writer that EVERYONE hated whos name was Brannon Braga. He basically was a hack who stabbed all the great writers in the back and took over the show for himself with his own nit wit team of hacks. By the time he was 21 he had'nt even seen ONE star trek episode yet he was going to now write for it? BAH! So now Brannons little enterprise project and the whole trek franchise is in the garbage and Moore and all the good writers are now doing Battle star galatica and other stuff that is much more successful. Oh and in case you are wondering why the last season of Enterprise was good was becuase of the whole "shake up" where Paramount hired Manny Coto to write most of the episodes instead of that hack!
Bermen and braga burn in hell for destroying the Trek franchise! Luckily the Suits a paramount decided that money does matter after all and shitty writing and low viewership means no money. So, they got rid of both Bermen AND braga and Trek is probably going to do another good comeback AS LONG AS it sheds its PC attitude and gets edgy. we'll see what happens. In the mean time watch battle star galatica!!!

Never got into NG or DS9 but I liked Voyager.
Enterprise didn't get enought time to develop.
The first few seasons always have teething problems

TNG - who puts a French surrender monkey in charge of the fleets flagship? Watching the reruns today - total cheese

DS9 - It's 7 year mission: To go no where!

Voyager - They needed to cut out 90% of the techno babble and replace it with some freaky lesbian shit between Janeway and 7.

Enterprise - In the last episode Archer should have Quantum Leaped into Rick Berman as a teenager and committed suicide to save the populace from 20 years of the worst sci-fi ever.
