I had my friends’ digital camera out the other day and thought I would snap a few pictures of my boat. It’s a 31” Kyosho Hurricane with twin Le Mans 360T electric motors that drain the battery in about 7 mins run time (should have got the nitro hurricane, but it was a long time ago). Right now it literally jumps up on plane and has a decent top end but I would like to get a little more out of it. Especially since it is so stable.

i'm not into boats, but i do race slot cars. you've got a sweet looking boat there...looks like plenty of room for some larger motors. at one (now out of business)track, there was a very nice rc oval for the cars and trucks. what a sight! 8 rc cars screaming around that carpet covered, banked oval. those guys ran $150 motors and always had the high-end battery modules in multiple units. iirc, the race heats were 5 minutes. enduro's required "pit stops" for fresh batteries, and power management strategy came into the equation.

cool boat ospry21, I guess it depends on you definition of hauls ass. My boat does haul ass, but for its size I think a bit more top end would be fine. I can't find different pitch props for it, I may re-power it or change the 2:1 reduction in the gear box to 1.75:1.25 or so.

You are right, they no longer make it, and although they do still make props for it they are all the stock pitch. That’s why I am looking towards gears they are more universal fit. I don't really want to spend $80-$110 to put two new racing motors in it sinde I don't drive it that often any more.
