Been a computer programmer for the last 4 (going on 5) years. IT job market is looking scary. Im gonna stick it out, but i dont see the job market getting any better this year.  Just got a new job as a auto parts delivery driver.  Good thing the wife works! Those days of making big cash as a contractor are over for the time being. Been out of work since April, some guys i know havebeen out since first of year. Oh well, im a survivor.

What kind of IT positions are you seeing demand for there?  May be time to branch out.

Eastwood - what type of development do you do?  IT marker here in NoCal is bloody but not that bad for people with 4+ years of experience.  The dot com meltdown has effected junior people the most.
