Now, I post this in the relgion forum to get the religious folks point of view, but it by
no means is a religious book. Certainly satirical, possibly heretical, but if taken with
a grain of salt puts a humorous twist on the story of David, and in some cases
makes him a bit more human. There are things said in this book that you could
almost hear David saying.
I read it when I was younger, but didn't really understand a lot of the Biblical references.
I read it again on a plane the other day, and today Sarge posted a Psalm from David
and it reminded me of the book.
Have any of you read it? I'm not looking for condemnation of the thing, I know it's
about as far from The Word as you can get, but approached with a sense of humor
it's pretty entertaining.
