I think there should be a subpoena button on AR15.com that goes through and deletes all your posts, just in case.

Interesting idea. ALTHOUGH, this is completely impossible to use in court. Too many holes in it.

Why aren't you using an offshore anonymous proxy?

As long as you're not doing anything illegal, you have nothing to worry about. All these new laws, are only made for arab terrorists. The fact that they ALSO apply to American citizens should not be troubling to "good" citizens like yourself.... Why does everyone assume that govt is looking to arrest someone??

Regardless of what you the MAN already knows. Even before you do it.

A friend once told me to keep a very big magnet nearby and when that knock on the door comes put it next to your harddrive. Will that work?

If the data is important enough, you can read deleted data traces with an electron microscope. The only positive destruction is to remove the platters and use sandpaper to remove the surface coating.

Total physical destruction of the media is the only way to be sure that your HD, floppies, LS120, Zip, tapes, CD or DVD's won't be read. The other problem is that once data is "in the wild" (like being posted on the internet or sent in an email) there is no telling how many places it might exist, only to turn up later.

I don't know about a magnet next to your hard drive, but I know that a thermite grenade over it will delete everything you need to delete.

"Subpoena Button" = The trigger on your 12ga Vs. Your Hard drive.
