* Helicopter now carry 8 missiles rather than 14 * TV-Guided missile now have a shorter range * Hit points on all air vehicles has been reduced * AA missile lock has been improved * Support kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy * Sniper kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy * Anti-Tank kits have had their primary weapons adjusted for accuracy * "Dolphin Diving" is no longer possible * Players can no longer jump and shoot at the same time * "Prone Spamming" is now fixed * "Sprint exploit" is now fixed * The Sa80 weapon has been improved * The G3A3 weapon has been improved * Reload while sprinting has been enabled * Chinese and MEC APCs can now shoot through penetrable materials * Damage decreased for the M134 * Medic defibrillator paddles have been adjusted. They now reload while not in use. * Server search filters now work properly * All mines (Claymore, Anti-vehicle, C4) can now be picked up by the same class that dropped it by using the “G” key. * Mines can no longer be destroyed with other explosives * Flash bang effect radius decreased * Added unlocks for Sniper and AT kits * Fixed a bug in terrain rendering with night vision, whereby terrain was still dark in dark areas. * Fixed a bug whereby mods that are not bf2 or not xpack permutate shaders every time a level is loaded. * Fixed a bug whereby non-xpack mods cannot use xpack shaders. * Fixed bug in TV guided missiles of Havoc helicopter * Bug in MP7 fire rate fixed. Ammo count increased and mag count and damage decreased * APC Update – “Chinese and MEC APCs can now shoot through penetrable materials”. This fix was a miscommunication to the patch team. Chinese and MEC APC’s have been reverted and the LAV25 now no longer shoots through penetrable materials. * Vehicles no longer disappear when viewed from some vehicles with a HUD (e.g. Tanks). * Performance gain found in static mesh rendering. * Detonation radius from grenade launcher explosions has been reduced. * Grenade launcher projectiles now have a minimum time before arming. I'm really looking forward to the paddles rearming when put away and the reload while sprinting. Plus the increased accuracy of support guns. |

actually im really lookin forward to some new maps. im gettings extremely tired of playing the same maps over and over. i think im gonna start SF more often as of today |

Call me one of the whiners but I can't wait for vehicles to be more vulnerable. I got frustrated tonight with being repeatedly owned by the resident T80 whore so I quit the BRD server and went to play BF2:SF for awhile. In the Iron Gator map, where there are no vehicles below decks, I scored 112 points on one map. Yes I know the vehicles are fun, but at its heart I really think the game should be about the infantry.

I dont care so much about the vehicles, but dolphin diving has to go away as soon as humanly possible.

It would be nice to be the same rank on the game you are in real life.

THAT IS IT. And even now it is borked. Gerber manages to some how pull commander away from me if we both apply for it at start of the round and I am a higher rank, same goes for if Gerber and Dizza both apply(gerber gets it). Rank has no effect on playing the game other than that. I don't care one bit about another persons rank when playing, all I care is if I can kill them. I could care less about ranks, they are even more worthless than the virtual badges. Now that I have all my unlocks I can focus on playing on truely fun servers such as the server that is hosting BF2 maps for SF. Or playing on servers hosting community maps. In fact, I fucking hate this ranked bullshit because it pretty much killed off the custom map/mod community because everybody is so overly concerned with rank. It's a profit making device by EA that ensures that they can retain interest in their stupid bonus packs. SF was a major let down for the most part, only thing that makes me happy about SF right now is that servers are starting to host BF2 maps to play on the SF servers. What they need to do to make rank be worth 2 shits is make it count as experience where each time you rank up you get slightly better accuracy, or stamina, or when commander your assets are more valuable like the UAV staying in air longer or covering a broader scan area. Having a 4 star general with a UAV that can scan almost 1/4 of the map, as opposed to a sgt being able to do maybe 1/16 of the map, that would be a HUGE pay off for actually trying to get ranks. As well as provoke people with higher ranks to actually command. Other than that, when I'm in the chopper every enemy has the rank of "pathetic ant" and deserves to get stepped on. |

Saw that too, still seems awful high. I play a ton (since the day of release) and finish in the top 3 around 30% of the time and I just now have 30,000 points. By the time the majority of people are even close to officer ranks they will have moved on to a new game. |

I think it would be rather humorous to see a bunch of Brigadier Generals running around with an M95 in Ghillie Suits. Oh , wait... that's true to life isn't it? ;)

You are right, they need to simulate it better. For instance, if you run behing a general in the game and are going to run ahead of him, and you don't scream out "good afternoon sir, by your leave sir!", you should be punished. |

Played for about an hour and a half today.
It is easier to shoot down choppers however the missles still tend to randomly vere off course and go attack friendly vehicles. I got more team damage points today than I did kills. Dead on locks, wait for the fuckers to pop flares, re-establish lock and fire. Missles go after some other fucking vehicle often times friendly. STILL FUCKING BORKED! Further, on Checkmate today I was high up on the valley walls in the linebacker. Helicopter comes along flying below me while I'm aiming down at it. I get a lock and fire, missles don't even go after it but take off after something else giving me friendly vehicle damage. WHAT THE FUCK? |
