Ben Carson extends lead in poll

CARSON/CRUZ 2016

or

CRUZ/CARSON 2016

Either way works for me

Dr. President or President Dr.?

Don't trust carson on 2A

Haven't been that impressed by Carson. Weak on 2A and can't seem to articulate very well.

Is it no longer too far out for polls to matter? Do they suddenly matter now?

But the way we elect presidents has changed some over the past 200 years.

Obama stutters and gets antsy when he doesn't have a teleprompter or when he get's real questions.

They won't do that until Trump falls apart. The strategy is "Carson takes out Trump, Jaaaaaaaaabe/Rubio takes out Carson."

I'm interested in what he has to say, but I seem to fall asleep every time he opens his mouth.

I heard a radio interview last week, where Carson impressed me. I think his statements on the RKBA from years past can be corrected. He seems to have a better grasp on the ideals of our Constitution.

Intelligent rational people are the ones that think they can make socialism work THIS time.

He's also a doctor, the profession in which you dedicate your life to knowing what's best for people because they can't be trusted to...

I would rather keep Cruz where he is than make him VP.

Carson talks about problems but when it gets down to solutions he does not have them.

Sure I would vote for him but I would prefer Cruz

Dr's don't usually make good politicians.

As far as the 2nd goes, all he's doing is giving lip service because it's expected. I seriously doubt he's a 2nd Amendment supporter at heart.

He won't get my vote.

I don't understand Carson's appeal. He's inarticulate in debates and on the stump. And his knowledge on policy issues is lacking. All I can say is that he's the beneficiary of "white guilt." Just like Obama.

Rubio for the win.

Hes too nice which means he would probably be easily co-opted by the GOPe to be a good RINO.

Like Trump, he doesn't have political experience so he sounds weak on the topics. The difference is that Carson doesn't seem like he has the personality for the position either, where as Trump is a loudmouth "alpha" dickhead. I'm aight with either but prefer Trump.

I find it funny ARFers want to keep electing the same type of people and expect different results. If Cruise gets elected this country is fucked.

Yes, but my understanding of Jefferson was he knew what he was talking about.

I was completely unimpressed with him speaking about his healthcare plan starting about 4:50 in this video http://video.foxnews.com/v/4577629839001

Not that I don't agree with him on some of it but he seems to not be firm in his plan, if I was running for President I'd have locked down my plan well before getting into the election or unveiling it. I wouldn't be changing it based on how the political wind blows. I think he's in over his head.

He's so calm, all the time. Mr. Even Keel. Mr. Super Nice Guy.
I enjoy watching him talk around the "gotcha" questions he gets in interviews, but I always wonder what kind of drugs he is on.

I don't think he is capable of political combat.

Correct, his past mistakes on guns was due to ignorance not hatred of guns.

GOP voters trusts Carson as much as Trump or a little more on foreign policy, but trust Trump way more than anyone on economy

If it's still the economy, stupid, and the Democrats keep beating the amnesty drums then big advantage Trump. If there's an epic shitstorm overseas, and Obama continues to completely fuck up domestic race relations, then small advantage Carson.

Interesting that Trump and Carson are most trusted with military authority and nuclear weapons by a good margin, I didn't expect that. It's funny considering such polar opposite personalities.

I find that the opposite is true, after the latest shooting in Oregan he did the best job of all the candidates in defending the 2A as he took most of the heat for his statements.

We should be greatful to have someone of his caliber in the Medical community defending the 2A in the the way his is doing it.. Take some time an watch these videos and I think you will see things differently:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKYDssotsME

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGf3ySeiM8A

http://www.usatoday.com/media/cinematic/video/73775824/ben-carson-on-gun-control/

"Reading people like Daniel Webster, who talked about tyranny in Europe and said it would never occur in America because the American people were armed," he says. "When you look at tyranny and how it occurs, the pattern is so consistent: Get rid of the guns for the people first so you can go in and dominate them."

"If I had a little kid in kindergarten somewhere I would feel much more comfortable if I knew on that campus there was a police officer or somebody who was trained with a weapon," he says.

"If the teacher was trained in the use of that weapon and had access to it, I would be much more comfortable if they had one than if they didn't."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvyWNtgKZsA

DO the research folks on each of the candidates and come up with a list of videos where they do a better job at defending the 2A except for Ted Cruz which sure has talked and walked the walk.

Besides Cruz I don't see a better candidate amongst those running that does a better job at articulating the reasons for the 2A.

Cason is someone that has substance he is a novice on guns in the practical sense but that is expected for someone that has dedicated so much of his Life to brain surgery at the highest level.

I listened to Ben Carson speeking at the NRA Convention in April and did not think that much of it but from then on hearing him out on the issue I have become convinced that he is standing firm on the 2A and that it is very much in line with his constant message of the importance of the constitution.
Link Posted: 11/3/2015 9:22:59 AM EST
Question:

Where is he getting his money to make this run?

My google-fu must be weak as I can't find out much at all about his fund raising and who is his main contributors are.

Waiting for the drive by media to Herman Cain him.
Remember Herman Cain had an affair while he had stage 4 colon cancer. The fact that the woman who accused him of the affair was convicted of perjury soon after the accusation was irrelevant.
The left hates nothing more than a black conservative.
They have already tried to get Carson about somethings he done as a youth (You can’t use that on a liberal.)
