I hate to say but I'm going to the beach tomorrow and we're afraid it might be too cold.  I hear it'll be in the low 70's in the morning, warming up to about 80?  Is that a bad thing in late January?

I may go out to galveston to do a little metal detecting. Too cool still for any relaxation.

It's only 30 here.  Too cold to go to Chicago's beach, or any other beach around here.

I can't wait, the ocean is usually flat in the morning then and my AC works great.  I have a year round life

You think that just because there's 2" of snow on the ground that people stop everything their doing?  LOL.

I don't mind winter for the most part.  Sometimes when it's fucking frigid outside it gets a little tiring, but it's still all good.

It was 78 today in Miami, so nice.  I'm sure that the nips were quite perky at the nudie beach on South Beach today.

No.  I prefer mountains and lower population densities.

I live on the beach so I don't know if I'm ever actually going to it or coming from it.

Regardless, yes it will be warmer where you are but the chances of you appearing as an extra on an episode of COPS are approximately 697,904,542 times higher  than mine.

I'd kill for that weather.  It is currently 10 with a -3 windchill.

Really?  I've never seen the crew of Cops in Indian River County, Florida.

On that same note, I'll bet your chances of bumping into Barney Franks or one of his ilk is a billion times higher than mine

Going snowmobiling. 100mph in the snow is great fun.  The beach is where you go in the summertime.

If by beach you mean "forecasts for 1/10 of an inch of ice and 6-12 inches of snow" then yes, yes I am going to the beach tomorrow.

What part of the Great and wonderful Sunshine State do you reside? You gotta  be in south FL or your trollin'  our frozen brothers in the Northern states. It's cool 50's high by 4pm i 60's here in the Jacksoville area. Not exactly swimin' and surfin speedo /bikini weather.

If I go to the beach I'm throwing my scuba gear in the truck and going. The wife won't get in the cold water with me though. I don't have enough experience/gear to do it myself.

I thought about it but it is overcast today so there would not have been much to see during the sunrise.

3 hours south of Jacksonville, the  Treasure Coast.

I love your town, I try to catch the Blue Angels air show there every year.  I missed it last year and a nice meal at Joe's Crab Shack on the beach.
