I don't shoot anymore and half the shit I'm interested in is banned in this shit hole state. I don't shoot because I do t have the means. Even if I did, I wouldn't have the time with three little ones.

That said, the tech forums don't really do it for me. GD used to be fun. This shit is worse than the last two elections now. Anyway, just feel tired of coming here anymore. The best thread I've seen in months was OP took Subnet to church and the range. Rather heart warming. Anyway, I'm rambling.

I'm getting burned out on Election threads. The other stuff, the funny stuff seems to be getting lost in the background.

Usually when I'm tired of something, I just quit doing it.  I don't try to justify to anyone, let alone some random people online, why I'm tired of doing it.

But to answer your question, No.

weekly NASCAR threads keep me sane.

I don't have time to shoot anymore either.    It used to be a job, now I'm married with kids and I can't even get to the range.

12 years and still going strong.

(16 if you count my lurker years, actually).

I don't think I would have kept my sanity under 8 years of FBHO without you guys.

I'm with you OP.

I'm still here a lot, but it's not as fun as it used to be. It's why I didn't re-up....maybe after the election this place will go back to being fun again.

I haven't owned an AR in several years and haven't bought a gun in probably 10 years.  Hell, I haven't shot a gun in at least a year.

I come to ARFCOM for the interesting, non-firearms related threads on subjects like swords, coffee, health/fitness/nutrition, bicycles, etc.....    I can't count how many times the knowledge and experience of GD has steered me in the right direction.  It's an awesome resource.

I left for two years when the Obamacare was passed. I thought that there was going to be an uprising and didn't want to be associated with this site.  When nothing happened, I used it as an opportunity to explore other areas of interest.  Eventually I drifted back.  It wasn't the same. Lots of old timers had moved on.

I've gotten very burned out on anything election related, and I usually enjoy following politics.

I've gone shooting once since July. I've gotten involved in scuba diving and that's been holding my attention for the time being. Dive season will be over around the beginning of December and then I'll go back to shooting.

I make a point to look for funny threads. I contributed to that with my underwater pumpkin carving thread a couple of days ago.

This is very true. The autographed car in my avatar was sent to me as a gift from an Arfcommer I really only know from the NASCAR threads.

I upped once.
Due in December.
Not sure I'll re-up. Too many childish posts in what any reasonable adult would know is a serious thread.

Everybody can get burned out on anything. It happened to me, OP. I ended up taking a year and a half break.

I'll agree that taking a break might be in order. At some point, you'll probably feel ready to come back to Arfcom. And when you are, the site will still be here. Sometimes you just need to look after yourself and your own priorities. Nothing wrong with that.
