Anyone else find the killing / grinding up of bugs/insects on "fear Factor" disturbing?? I hunt, fish, eat meat, don't mind killing ants, termites , etc - anything that needs to be killed for a reason. I know I will already be called a wimp as I personally don't hunt/kill stuff for fun if I'm not going to eat it - But I have watched a couple Fear Factor episodes - one where they put a bunch of earthworms in a tank with a screen on the bottom and people had to walk on them to smash them to get juice, and another where they put a mix of worms, scorpions and roaches (oh well) in a grinder, then the people carried the juice in their mouth and spit it into a container. I guess I don't like to kill anything without a decent reason, even insects. Think it devalues life. What do you think??? Am i losing it and need to turn in my man card and join PETA and the DU?

I find it a little disturbing but I find it more disgusting.

I don't like fishing mainly because I can not stand sitting in one place for who knows how long just to trap a fish with bait on a hook.

I know a few HARD CORE survivalist and/or military guys will not find eating bugs and such disgusting but I do.

The only one I saw was where this faggot said he knew how to shoot because he shot a .22 once in boy scouts and then proceeded to miss the paper on his first shot.

Then the chick had to be coached for an hour before she could even hit the paper once.

i agree, life is life no matter what it is, it has a will of it's own and want's to survive, it will never be duplicated in a laboratory. funny that some scientists think that you can reduce something to its most basic parts and understand it. they're dead wrong. i've always been a little annoyed with people that think yanking a fish out of the water with a hook in its mouth isn't the same as dropping a moose with my 375h&h. you have to respect all life no matter what it is, i watched a spider spin a web in the back of my truck the other day and although i don't like spiders i didn't kill her but put her on the lawn she's probably pissed about the web but at least she can build another. i will kill skeeters indescriminatley though as i see no use for these things other than it gives the dragonflys something to eat.

I've had the misfortune of seeing that stupid show....
The only thing that bothers me about them killing/grinding up bugs is that it's done for the purposes of some asnine reality-game show.
Food is scarce & you have to eat bugs to survive=no problem. The televised equivalant of "I double dog dare you"=lame.

I take it somebody never spent a fun filled afternoon with a magnifing glass and bugs on a sunny day.

And by the way, there is a reason their killing those bugs. $50,000.00 in prize money is reason enough for me.
