Friend here at work heard about it and does it now and says it works to improve mileage.  Never heard of it before now and Googled it.  There is mention of 15-35% increase in mileage with no ill effects on one site......bullshit or is there any truth to it??

I've heard good things.  I remember hearing that there was a good ratio of acetone to gasoline that worked very well.

The article I saw mentioned 2-2 1/5 ounces per 10 gallons of gas.

A little acetone helps various fuels (e.g. nitro-methane and and pure methanol) mix properly.  I don't know if many of you drive around on that mix though .

Acetone is the main ingredient in most carb/injector cleaners.  Too much could be harmful to injectors.  This may also be true if they are subjected to a steady diet of the stuff.
