Just came across this pic from a link posted on another thread. I'd like to know a few things if anyone can offer up some facts.

A) What is it?

B) How is it possible to own something like this?

C) Can Eric get ammo for it?

A)  That is a German Panzerbuchse Modell 41 (PzB41) manufactured by Rheinmetall-Borsig AG, Dusseldorf.  It fired a 20X138mmB Long Slothurn round and was a recoil operated anti-materiel weapon.  The book says that it "was a formidable weapon firing a very powerful cartridge."  I say "ouch".

B)  If you owned something like that no one is going to take it away... unless you're sleeping or something and they sneak up on you.

C)  Ammo is very hard to find.  I suggest Old Western Scrounger.

As far as I could tell, the photo was taken at a shoot in the U.S.

How can anyone get there hands on a weapon like that....here? And finding ammo must be a real bitch!

That's the Solothurn that Henry Bowman was so proud about. You can probably find one, but it's considered a DD and it's gonna cost ya. If the rifle itself doesn't break you then the ammo cost surely will. [:)]
