Everyone has an opinion. Some people who paid $500 or more for a red dot will tell you anything that costs less is crap and won't hold up no matter what. Personally I've been using a Hakko Tacpoint on one of my FAL's for about the last 2k rounds of milsurp .308 and it has done just fine. No, its not rated to 300 feet water depth but I don't go scuba diving with my FAL either so for my purpose, it works.

There was a discussion and kind of a group buy from one of the importers on this side of the pond a while back on the Optics Forum. IIRC they kind of came to the conclusion that for banging around on the range they aint too bad especially for the price, BUT, nobody seemed to say they would depend on it in a real WAR situation. YMMV

Ive used one and I liked it alot. Stayed accurate and did what it did fine. Laugh at it all you want. But im not dropping $500 on optics since im not "going to war"
