Looks like Arma. You can buy it, and the sequel (plus the expansion packs) on Steam for PC. |

Quoted:
That the first Operation Flashpoint. This is the correct answer. |

The original PC version of Ghost Recon (and it's expansion packs) were where the money was at. None of this run-and-gun console bullshit.

that is considered old? No kidding. We had the first pong that came out. A moving dot with two lines that went up and down |

Quoted: that is considered old? Well, I do. Still, almost a decade. |

OFP was cool. Loved how moddable it was. Nothing like seeing mobile suits engaging each other, while tanks and infantry are advancing on your objective.
|
|
Operation flashpoint for the win. I still have the original box.

Yeah, when I think of old games I think of 3-Demon, Pacman, zaxxon, frogger, etc...

The sequel is out... Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising No. |

Thoose were the ones we played untill we got yelled at to go to bed atleast haha. |

Operation Flashpoint rocked, especially the Resistance add-on. Straight-up Red Dawn stuff, I loved stealing t55s and accomplishing my missions, or scripting whatever I wanted.

I'd be up all night with the suspense of that game. Don't laugh. I remember being up for hours playing Hitchikers Guide to the Universe in the same format! |

Man, I fucked a mission up one time and spent 5 real time hours with 3 rounds of ammo trying to sneak through a damn forest to base, 'cuase what the fuck else could I do?. The AI was bad ass. Fuckers finally got me near some town. I started wandering lone wolf after that. Awesome. |

Kharn Resistance was pretty awesome. I also liked messing around with the mission editor. Sometimes, I would make a formation of 100+ civilians, set them to "advance at all costs" at "Walk" speed at night with rain. Through NVGs it looked like a wave of zombies walking across the field to eat your brains. I would try to kill all of them with an array of weapons I would set up around me. |

I remember the default load was 4 magazines and 6 grenades |

I regularly play Arma2 online , but sadly Americans are more into call of duty and other craptacular games, so I play with mostly Russians.
Nothing like calling in a MLRS strike on a group of tanks 5km away :) |

It was too many buttons and shit to learn.
I preferred the original Ghost Recon and Vietcong. |
|
i still play that one |

I played the new Call of duty games and they are really craptastic compared to OFP Arma 2 is designed by the original OFP developers, Dragon Rising has the OFP name only because Codemasters bought the rights to it. Arma II is closer to the original. ETA: Haven't played it though, my computer isn't nice enough to. |
