I have been toying with that stock on and off since 2008. The volatility always made for some small lotto cash.

I just happen to get back into it around .45, a couple weeks ago and figured I blew this one and had been looking for an exit as it continued to slowly decline. Then they did a reverse split 15-1  last week or so and was sitting around 4.50. Today it closed at $41.75, up 206.99% today, alone.

My $500 play money gamble turned into a nice gain... too bad my trailing stop triggered at $27.10 under a 13% trail.

So, WTF? Does anyone have a clue what happened with these guys? The investing sites can only seem to guess that Trump is expected to improve the economy and that will bring better business to the shipping markets. ....but, this is pretty good sized money trading now... not the sub .50 stuff it has been. Although, I seem to recall it hitting $75 *years* ago. I'm confounded... and kind of bummed I didn't have more into it but - bulls get rich and pigs get slaughtered.

Edit: Gapped up to $62 at open. Damn.

The exchange halted it yesterday... I was out at $27

...but I still watch it. I wonder what is going on behind the scenes? The newswire only said, "They are waiting on information from management" to resume. Whatever that means.

In the meantime, since DRYS went dark, it appears that everyone has adjusted fire into the other companies that rely on the Baltic Dry Index.

This stock was *HEAVILY* shorted... perhaps they halted it so they could sweep up all of the bodies that are piling up on the sidewalks, below the high-rises.

"Hey Honey...? Yeah, I shorted 5000 shares at $4 and now I have to cover at $95. Goodbye."

Was watching that as well, way too risky and man the shipping freight business was crazy this week.

I have 2 shares now in it, based on all the reverse stock splits, I saw that cost basis was like 1k each. lol.

I thought why throw good money after bad when it did that and they were still a buck a piece.
It could have easily kept trending down but I can't help but think if I had picked up another 1k shares and sold when they hit 80 a share. lol.

I'm back in

I don't usually play the lotto stocks but - this one is too much fun. ....trying to estimate volatility for the trailing stop percentage is making my hair gray, though. lol   10% swings in one minute are not uncommon with this thing...

I left $75 a share on the table last time... I'd rather not do that again
