I'm on a $40 budget - and looking for a soft case for an AR with a scope.
Anybody got any advice for me? |

You know the AR stands and has always stood for Armalite Rifle correct? "Assault Rifle" is a term CNN made up.....

There's a colt marked case for those monies. Holds 4 mags and has another large pocket with Velcro closure

^ yessir. Pretty good fit for AR pistol. A 16" barrel weapon will require removing the lower receiver.

The cheap Midway ones are not bad. Got a couple for the wife unit because Midway has them in purple (and other colors too).

Blackhawk Sportster modular weapons case is a good deal - $41 right now shipped at targetsports. Bonus is it fits perfectly in and completely fills a Pelican 1700.

Op see if you can find a shop that carries AMS brand cases. They are made in Longmont, CO. A local store has carried them for years and l have three or four. I've never found a website for them though. There is a phone number on the tag, 1-800-368-4267
Mine have held up good and l recommend them if you can find them. They run ~$35- $50-ish. Quoted:

This thread is going places. I'm not sure where but I don't think it'll smell very good when it gets there.

View Quote I bought a high priced carbine bag for my first 5.56 carbine and spent about 130 bucks on one from Brownells. I also bought a pricey 5'11 bag for something else. Last year my Sister got her first rifle and has some junk looking bag picked out. I had already bought a Midway range bag and was impressed with it's quality being an import and all. I took a total shot in the dark and ordered three of the bags linked above. They really are a super bag for the money. I bought a 4th one shortly after. |

I've had good success with Bulldog cases for my A-Salt Riffles.

Academy, Cabelas, walmart, amazon all sell those bulldog brand cases, and they are about $40

Has it occurred to you guys that the OP might own a machine gun?
|
|
You can't say assault rifle here! You'll offend the snowflakes!
The politically correct term is Modern Sporting Semi-Automatic Rifle, but you should first ask what it identifies as first. |
