I'm watching the Diamondbacks get their ass handed to them by the Astros and previews for "The Proposal" come on. Any of you guys willing to admit to getting dragged to see these movies, or actually like them?

There are some I don't mind like Love Actually, One Fine Day, The Wedding Singer (I would call it a romantic comedy to a degree), and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

My only thing with romantic comedies is it sometimes seems to me that Hollywood is running out of ideas. Most of them nowadays to me just seem like they're taking the formula from some other romantic comedy, like "Pretty Woman" or "The Wedding Planner" and recasting it with People Magazine's flavor of the year.

I'm a hermaphrodite, eat chili with beans, and drive a Pontiac Aztek.

I like them.

AND I usually watch them alone while drinking girly drinks.

Seriously.

Those flicks are date flicks to make the woman happy.

I haven't been on a date in over 15 years.

Was "Saving Sarah Marshall" a romantic comedy? Because that movie was funny as hell

I think I dodged a bullet - My fiancee would rather go see Star Trek than anything targeted at women like "romantic comedies."

Nothing better than living with a fellow nerd.

My wife hates it because I can tell her the whole plot without even seeing the movie.

1. Woman goes through breakup/divorce, or has problem finding "Mr. Right"
2. Woman meets Sensitive Guy, and likes him
3. Woman meets Cool Guy that is really a asshole.
4. Woman can't make up her mind, but chooses Cool Guy
5. Cool guy is asshole
6. They break up
7. Woman realizes Sensitive Guy was the right choice, and goes through some crazy ordeal to tell him
8. Woman finds Sensitive Guy, they profess their love
9. Woman and Sensitive Guy gets married, and the woman's quirky best friend falls in love with sensitive guy's best friend.

Roll Credits on nearly all romantic comedies.
