The property I bought a few months ago doesn't have a plat recorded, so I'm trying to figure out the lot based on the metes and bounds deed description.  The bad news is that it isn't in a format I've seen before.  The directions read "S 2-09 W 120 feet" and "S 3-56 W 200 feet", plus more of course.  What I can't figure out is the 2-09 and 3-56 parts.  Anybody have a clue?

"S 2-09 W" means South 2 degrees 09 minutes West, and so on.

Thanks, most deeds I've seen before have it written out in the form you describe, thats what was throwing me.
