My son is on his first deployment on a fast attack. He's on Westpac and the calls he's made home have let me know he's loving the life. I, on the other hand, am a wreck. He last called from Singapore a week before the tidal wave and I haven't heard from him since. He can't tell me the boat's itinerary (I understand completely why) but the not knowing is so hard. My common sense tells me he's ok, but my heart worries.
Any advice to a proud Dad who's going through first deployment jitters? Also, I really want to buy him a Christmas present for when he get's back, but don't know what he'd most like. Any suggestions?
