Just checking around.  I've been a fan of the .300 Savage Model 99 rifle for years.  That cartridge counter is about as useless an accessory as I can think of, but it is one more little touch to show that they "don't make 'em like they used to."

Love the 99 too.mine is in 308 though.Reason being I'm left handed and never seen one with the tang saftey.I'd take one in 250-3000 also.

Yeah I used to have an old Savage 99 in .300 savage. Every year it would outshoot my Dads new Ruger 77 in 308. He would get so pissed. :) It's a good little caliber.

MY son has one grandpa gave him. He's shot a 28" muley and a 14.5 antelope buck with it. Still waiting for more tags.

had one in the rem. 722 years back. sold it, too hard to find ammo.
