My shareware you mean freeware? I don't know of any, but I haven't looked.
Norton Ghost is worth the $60 if the data (and time) you stand to lose is worth more than that. |

I've been using Mozy for a while now. 2GB for free. Every friend you get to join gives you an additional .25Gb up to a certain point I think. if you have a large amount of data, you'll have to use a pay service I think. Someone might come along and correct me though.

Buy an external USB hard drive, they usually have some type of SW that assist in backing up.

Clonezilla.
I can't recommend it enough. I've cloned Linux machines, solaris machines, windows machines and OS X machines without any issues. I do a full system image once a week that gets added to the incremental backups that spend the following week in the safe-deposit box at the bank in the next town over. A local copy that stays in the safe and I do cloud backup (Crashplan). Remember, 1 is none, 2 is 1, 3 is 2 and 4 is a good start.... |
