Obviously I am, but I'm wondering what the majority of people here are. I always get shit from people when I say that I am an "a-theist", so I'm curious how many others there are. If you aren't comfortable talking about this, feel free to maintain your peace and silence. As always, thanks for reading.

I was agnostic until I realized I was wrong. I now have faith.
Congratulations! People always think that I'm against religion, which is completely wrong. Religion gives people hope, faith, and a sense of belonging. Oh, and I wouldn't say that you were wrong. You were 'misled' as some would say. Edited to add, agnostic means you weren't sure. You just made up your mind. |
Sure. There's a bunch of atheists here.
They're wrong. But fine folks, nonetheless. |
Thank you. And I guess you're right, I made up my mind. |
Not really atheist, just can't believe any of the current choices.
I was born into a sunworshiping cult. So I worship the sun. Some people here were born into their religion too and question not. Other's weight the facts, hard evidence and history.
not an atheist but not for organized religion, Ton's of contradiction
I was baptized but I dont pray /go to church what does that make me?
ETA: This thread needs a poll. |
Apparently you have never been in a foxhole under fire. You would quickly change your mind. |
So do I. Now prove with science GOD does not exist |

I've been an atheist since I was maybe 12 years old. I have a few times lapsed in agnosticism, but that was years ago. I'm 28 now.

Psalm 14:1
The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. |
It's not possible. That's what having faith is for. |

I started out going to a Baptist church when I was a kid. After my father died, I became an atheist. I did it because I was mad at God, not because I did not believe in him. After a while I became an agnostic, because it was the hip thing to be in high school. Stupid on my part. Now I have come back to my faith, and it's stronger than ever. Praise God.
One of my good friends was a rabid athiest. Now he's a youth minister. Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas... |
I've decided to become an Odinist.
What does that make me? A polytheist? |
I'm not sure....... |
...I don't exactly think that quoting your holy book is the best way to prove that your religion is right. And I think that's a terrible sentiment, anyway. |

MagKnightX ...
The best part of it is that I don't have to prove anything. Think about it. |
Incorrect. The true agnostic believes that he is not capable of truly knowing if there is or is not a deity. Anybody who "isn't sure" is "not sure yet," no matter what religion they are. |

I understand that I don't "convert" anyone. Christians are messengers as well as pursuaders. |
There are many good people who say there is not a god. |
it rarely is. |

The irony of this blows my mind... |

I believe that we are all existing in "The Matrix."
The best part of it is that I don't have to prove anything. Think about it.

It never works out quite that nicely. |

I'm sorry, I can't do polls. |

**On a personal level, that's good enough for you?**
On a spiritial level, really. My job is to deliver the messege ... and if they refuse, I don't get all negitive about it. However it does grieve me a bit. My personal feelings are that of a love and compassion towards people, regardless. God has His laws, and He will not break them for anyone. But He made the ultimate sacrifice. |

Atheism is making the claim that there is no god/God. For that statement to be accurate, the person would have to have knowledge every nook and cranny of every universe. Such knowledge is a prerequisite to being God. Atheists deny themselves. |
