I own a G2 and I have no complaints. The battery lasts forever and it takes some of the clearest pictures I have ever seen. They just released the G2 so I would only take what that bonehead said about the G3 with a grain of salt.

Consider the Sony DSC F707...I have had one for a while now and it's a damn fine camera. I got some incredible outdoor shots with it on our vacation.
