I would like to hear what kind of gear you guys use for long range (800+ yds.) rifle work.  I typically shoot in the field (Sonoran desert) and use a REM 700 VS in .308 (it came in a left handed action), Bear two piece tapered bases and an M3 LR Tactical scope.  This setup has worked quit well for me.  I use a Kowa 20X fixed spotting scope.  The two pieces of gear I still need are quality binocs and a laser range finder, a Kestrel 4000 would be nice too.
