I have a case of C-Rats still intact with the wire bundleing

The case shows October 11 1968, I also have a couple of individual meals so I opened one of the meals, the Apple Sauce is bloated, but the rest looks just fine.

I have eaten several MRE's and LRPP rats, and when I was a kid I ate the C's but I dont think I will eat these.

I was wondering if this is something that the reenactors buy, or am I just going to let these things sit forever....

If I had a digicam that was worth a darn I would open them up and post pics just for the "Cool Factor" to the kids here that never got the chance to see them.

To a serious collector, um, I'd say $87.

In all honesty, I dont want to do that, because some "Commando" will try and eat them, and I dont want that to be on my mind.

The same way I feel about MRE's...

But I was thinking some reenactment group would want a shot at them before I turned them into a paper weight.

Yes they are worth a bit of money from a collectors standpoint.  Put them on Ebay for sure.

If none of the cans have burst or the case/boxes are not stained, they have value to collectors and reenactors. Too old to eat.

Considering these are Vietnam era C-Rats, this should make the collector appeal a bit greater.
