My buddy's grandfather fought with the 442nd, and it peaked my interests. Any good movies or books that are about the 442nd that anybody knows of?

Go For Broke is the only movie I am aware of.

I think there was one with Van Johnson, Go For Broke! if I remember correctly. It's been years since I've seen it though, I think it was made in the early 50s.

Since you are in CA, you need to go down the 100th/442 Memorial in Little Tokyo and talk to some of the old timers that are there some times. IIRC Bill Sato is sometimes there. Several of the 442 vets used to be in my Dad's reserve unit back in the 60's and I got some chances to talk to them. Aren't many of the old-timers still around.
