I have a "Kasper" in my pocket right now. I've been quite pleased with it, though I'm still a huge fan of Cold Steel.

CRKT M16 Z (I think), the big one. I think it's a little long to carry legally

so I wouldn't mind getting a carry legal one.

I also have a KISS folder.

I like them a lot. Haven't really put it through its paces yet though, but I really like the construction.

Can't remember who I got it through... One stop knife shop? For some reason that sounds familiar. Sorry, it was last October that I got it.

Bottom line, I have two and would definitely own another. Spyderco Delicas are still my main go to pocketknives but the CRKTs are growing on me.

(Funny thing: The KISS' pocket clip is much larger than the M16s. WTH?)

CKRT Stiff K.I.S.S fixed blade
CKRT field knife ($30 at the fun show. Rubber handle, thin blade with serrations).

All good stuff.

I have:
CRKT M16-12Z (my daily carry knife)
CRKT KISS (all black, tanto blade, good for when I want to be dressy and not carry the M16 due to its size or appearance, girls arent too happy if I whip out the M16 to cut a wristband off my arm after exiting a club)
CRKT First Strike (novelty, keep meaning to throw it in the emergency supply bin in my truck)
CRKT Bear Claw (novelty).

www.onestopknifeshop.com has always been good to me, they even sent a free Tshirt when they swapped the partially gold plated KISS they sent me for the all-black one I ordered. (TShirt is very cool, CRKT logo on the front, "For those who serve" and the 1* symbol on the back)

I've got this one, the M16-14LE in my right front pocket right now:

I've had it for over two years now and have never had a problem with it.

Here's mine....the other side is laserengraved with my name and shield number.
No, it's NOT my daily carry! I have a "less" laser engraved full size M16 for that.

Have a M18-14 I got at BF5. Very nice knife, and extremely smooth opening but I think they discontinued that model.

I've got a 1/2 serrated KISS clipped to my front pocket at all times. Good knife, no complaints, would buy another. Bought it at Gander Mountain on sale last Christmas.

CKRT's are made under contract in Taiwan. Best designs and styles for the money. Their lineup used to be pretty much AUS6 steel only. Within the last couple of years, a large majority of their better knives are now AUS8 Steel which is much better than the AUS6. AUS8 is not the toughest, hardest, strongest, or any other steel quantitative type. It IS a great all-around working stainless steel, that gets and holds a good edge without being a bitch to re-sharpen.

CKRT licenses some of the best designs and patterns from the best custom knife designers and makes them in less expensive steels with great QC to make them cost effective for the average Joe. In this particular regard, they can be considered one of the best knife companies out their.

I personally REALLY like their new M-21 line which uses the handle style of the M-16 series with the tactical drop point of the M-18 series.

I had one of the original M-16's and at the time it was AUS6 steel and without the LAWKS lock. Got rid of it because AUS6 wasn't really suitable for the larger length blade. Now they're much better with the better steel and liner-locking lock.

M16's are great. I had a Benchmade Emerson which was THE tanto 4" folder five years ago. I like the m16 even better. Ball bearing opening...smooth as silk.

I recently bought and have been carrying an M16-04Z and it’s a great knife. I like the way I can quickly and easily flip it open with the ‘knob’ or ‘protrusion that sicks out of the spine of the handle when the blade is closed. It’s a nice and big and beefy knife that’s quick to open and looks great too. Oddly though, it is only about 3-4 weeks old, and it’s showing very slight signs of rust. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, but going outside a lot, my legs do tend to sweat. I thought it was odd, so I made a post here, and another member said it happens, but the knife will still hold up for years. I’m thinking of calling their customer service line and asking them about it. I may do that right now in fact.

Edited to add:

Just got off the phone with them and they said to send it right in and they'd take a look at it for warranty repair. Hopefully they'll take care of it. I'll mail it off tomorrow.

M16-00K EDC (every day carry) smallest smooth edge tanto & a new M16-01K EDC smallest smooth edge spear point. Mine see mostly box cutting and other small jobs. They are a good piece of mind to have when I can't have a firearm nearby though.

I've been carrying an M16-02Z for almost 3 years now, about the only bad thing I can say about it is that after that long, and me not paying attention, the screws for the clip got loose and I lost one. Other than that It's hard to find another knife for that kind of money that can take the abuse this knife has suffered in my hands.

I did just buy a new CRKT M1-03K, and while I think I think it's a much better fighting folder, I would say it's a notch down as a utility folder when compared to the M16 series.

I bought it on ebay for about $15 cheaper than I could find it anywhere else (after factoring shipping prices)

What is the "Carson Flipper", is it like an automatic knife, but not "auto"?

Also, what is the advantage of a tanto blade?

Here are three of my four - the top two are ARFcom specials, the bottom one is a M16-13SF, and I carry an M16-13T (titatium handles) with a clip point (non-tanto) blade. Best knife for the money, IMHO. The "flipper" is the hump on the base of the blade at the pivot - it allows you to deploy the blade MUCH faster than any thumb tab will, almost as fast as an automatic (with a little practice).

I have more expensive knives, but they pretty much just lay around in the safe these days.

ETA - By far the best prices I've found were on eBay (I know, I know)....

I have a New M16-03Z with the new locking system, I had one with the aluminum handle that I'd had for several years and lost it last year , so I bought myself another M16, Its a Excellent knife for the $$$$

I bought a couple of Mirages off ebay for a song. They are excellent knives. Razor sharp and hold an edge well. The cool part is that since I got them so cheaply I'm not afraid to actually use them.

I have a couple of M16-14LEs and a Desert Cruiser. They are not Emersons or Benchmades, but they are a good value for the money.

I have used both these guys multiple times and never had a problem.

I carry 1 of 4 knives..

One of them is a CRKT Bladelock Auto Conversion given to me by a good friend...

The others are not CRKT's
Kershaw AO (Also given to me by a good friend)

I have the M16-14. Good overall knife. I use it for everything and it has always held up. Look intimidating when someone asks for a knife and ya take it out a flick it open one handed and give it to them...

The lady at the credit union exclamed about how large my knife was the other day when she didn't have a letter opener handy for my check! "OH my!"

I think I'm going to take mine back to the store and get a refund and just buy one off the internet for a HELL of a lot cheaper price than the one in the store. I'm going with the M16-14 this time though. It's made with the AUS8 quality steel as opposed to the AUS6. I'm also looking at the M16-00K EDC.

I have an M16-12M which I carry daily. I had an older version of this that the liner lock was going out on. I contacted CRKT's customer support to get it fixed, they told me to send it in and they sent me a BRAND NEW knife. Big thumbs up from me!

I also have a couple of the M16 Compact EDCs.

The big one. My Dad gave it to me and it has the Washington State Tactical Operator's Association (WSTOA) logo on the blade. A guy on his team had the custome made by CRKT and I ended up with one
