I need info on pre-wiring a house for satellite/dsl/hdtv.

Sat uses a RG6 quad shield co-ax cable to each reciever, then the reciever outputs to the TV next to it.

DSL will need hookup to a phone line, after the DSL modem, you can use CAT5 or better to eanywhere you have or want a computer.

I guess what I am saying is that if you have one central area (usually in your basement) where the cables from the providers come in, that is a good start. Then run a co-ax and a CAT ethernet cable to each room.

The best time to do this is after the electricians get done wiring the house. SAT/Cable/DSL and the likes are all low voltage and do not have to follow the same rules as normal electrical. This means outlets dont have to be in fireretardant wall boxes and such.
