Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Any San Antonio cops on board?

I work a little north of San Antonio and  I found out that a friend has been working there for 5 years. I'm about to retire from my agency. I want to put together a rifle for my friend as a gift and know that SA officers are allowed to carry personal AR's but not sure what rifles will meet their regs (brand, barrel length, specific models, etc). Does anybody know what they allow?
