I am buying a house in the next few weeks and want to get hardwood floors installed in a couple of the rooms. I am pretty happy with the wood floors in my current house (pictured below) and would like to get the same type of floor installed in the new house. Can you guys provide me some guidance on what a resonable price is that I should pay per square foot for the hardwood floor pictured below (total for installation and materials)? The wood floor pictured below is a 5" wide veneer and hand scraped as I recall and is installed on top of the concrete slab.

Misleading thread title is misleading.

Seriously - I thought this thread would be about pimps and escort services.

I'd budget $1.50 to $2.00 per foot just for installation labor, $.50 to $.75 per foot for a sub-floor preparation allowance and however much you want to spend on whatever

wood would make you happy.  Are you married?  Then whatever would make her happy.  Did a job once when I was starting out.  2000 square feet.  The lady paid

$20,000 just for the wood.  Glue down wood can be as expensive as you want it to be.  Oh, allow $.50 a foot for glue costs. Hope it helps.
