[:x*] I think we have already lost the senate with the 50/50 split and the moderate republicans. As usual the House does pretty fair but the Senate usually screws up. Cases in point: Clinton Impeachment, and more recently, the proposed tax cut. The house was there, but the senate was woefully lacking. Then when you get Di Fienstein, Hillary Clinton, Chuckie Shummer, and Vinnie Torricelli, it is all bad news. [:(]
Add to this the fact that the Republicans don't know how to be winners, and they keep talking partisanship and co-committee positions, nothing very good will happen. If the Senate had term limits to two years, like the house, they would be paying a whole lot more attention to their constituents.
