A possible Republican defection may give the anti-gunners control of the Senate. We can kiss good bye any attempt at a national ccw reciprocity law and you can believe they would be introducing gun control. News at the "snake" icon at:
National CCW Reciprocity Foundation
Plus 2 new web poll questions.
[:x*] I think we have already lost the senate with the 50/50 split and the moderate republicans. As usual the House does pretty fair but the Senate usually screws up. Cases in point: Clinton Impeachment, and more recently, the proposed tax cut. The house was there, but the senate was woefully lacking. Then when you get Di Fienstein, Hillary Clinton, Chuckie Shummer, and Vinnie Torricelli, it is all bad news. [:(]
Add to this the fact that the Republicans don't know how to be winners, and they keep talking partisanship and co-committee positions, nothing very good will happen. If the Senate had term limits to two years, like the house, they would be paying a whole lot more attention to their constituents.
Hey, I say we start our own political party. We'll call it the COMMON SENSE PARTY. Of coarse, no anti-gun liberals will be allowed because anyone with brains knows guns protect the USA from foreign invasion. We won't use lobbyists or money from special intrests. We will use the internet or some other modern means of communicating with our constituants BEFORE we vote on an issue. Our main goal will be taking back the country from special intrest groups and implementing a flat tax so everyone pays their fair share. We'll knock down the insurance and prescription drug kingpins next. Anyone game?
