"Soles, 75, has been a lightning rod of criticism and media attention over previous financial and personal relationships with young men. He was also in the public's eye earlier this year after pleading guilty to assault for shooting Kyle Blackburn, then 22, in the leg after Blackburn and a second man, B.J. Wright, tried kicking in the door to Soles' home. Soles was fined $1,000 for the shooting."

State Sen. R.C. Soles, D-Columbus, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge in a case that helped end his long political career. “I'm very glad to have it behind me. I'm sorry it happened,” said a choked-up Soles. Superior Court Judge D. Jack Hooks accepted the guilty plea to a reduced charge of assault with a deadly weapon and fined the senator $1,000. “I want it to be over with,” Soles said as he pulled out his checkbook in the lobby of the Columbus County Courthouse. ar-jedi |

That make sense. I guess a ball-less faggot like that would plead guilty to defending his home and self.
