A lady was asking a "expert" at Gander Mountain on what gun she should have for her home. She is newly divorced and wanted to have a gun to keep on her night stand and for her carry permit when she gets it in the mail.

He showed her a .32 pistol and said this would be perfect for her. and she laughed. She put the guy in his place and smiled as she walked away from the "expert". I walked around to soak in all the wonderful prices and see if they had and .22 ammo. Seeing none and as I was walking out, she was getting a SIG 239 from another salesman.

The "expert " was not around.

And yet they seem to be cleaned out most of the time.

Guess they are insulting enough.

Well she may have been smarter than the "expert" but not smart enough to find a better deal about anywhere besides Gander Mountain.

Maybe she couldn't find the gun she wanted at the local gunstore. With deer season approaching just about every gunstore is geared towards that. I know that when I went looking for a Springfield Armory EMP I couldn't find one anywhere, even at the local "we have everything" store. I found one at GM and was close to buying it, but then I remembered there are plenty of deals out there on the internet. I ended up "saving" over $100 on both pistols.

For as bad as Gander Mountain can be, they are often still more friendly and welcoming to single women than most "Bubbas Guns, Fireworks and Porno Emporium" type places out there.

I hate Gander Mountain almost as much as Dick's. They price gouge big time. How they stay in business is beyond me and most of their employees know dick about firearms.

When I carry, it's typically a Seecamp .32...
