LOL..., who is this guy??? Here're some golden quote from the artile: "But also in the trunk were three magazines that hold 30 rounds each and two boxes of ammunition containing 200 more rounds. A person could do a lot of damage if he got his hands on that stuff. He could wipe out an entire police department." "But there's nothing silly about a .223 Bushmaster. The literature says it's great for shooting coyotes and other varmints, but "for all intents and purposes," a New Jersey cop told Newsday, "it's an assault weapon." That is, it's meant to be aimed at people. (And accurately, too — up to distances of several hundred yards.)"

That pissed me off bad enough to cross my eyes. "As if it were a spare tire or a set of socket wrenches". Bet I could do some serious work to the side of a reporters friggin skull with the tire iron that goes with that spare tire....if I was so inclined to do so.

From the article:
how could he [the football player] be so blissfully unaware of society's circumstances.

What! This idiot is arguing that because the football player had a rifle in his car, he is unware of 9-11? What a load of (excuse my language) crap!z

what he said: "This is the general scene in and around New York these days. Martial law hasn't been declared, but people are pretty edgy. You can't walk a block without being reminded, subliminally or otherwise, of the terrorist attacks. Which makes what happened Sunday at the Meadowlands all the more incomprehensible." what he means: "how dare Robinson try to live a normal life while we are all waiting in line to offer up our not-so-cherished freedoms to the altar of secure serfdom!"

One thing he did get right, if it were yu or me, we'd still be in jail. Only a "sports hero" or some other kind of sooperstar gets off like that. Probably a more basic question. WTF were "they" doing searching fooball players' coaches' & officials' cars for? Did they think these guys were suddenly going to turn into terrorists? This crap reminds me of the story about the drunk who lost his key in a dark alley, but was looking for them out under the street light. Asked why, "the light's better out here."
