After reading a bunch of threads here on subjects like TEOTWAWKI , various laws, or government involvement with anything. I am convinced that some of our members are actual anarchists ?

What do you think ?

Probably. A lot of people want anarchy or full blown SHTF to happen for a variety of reasons. Some think it will be "fun". Others want to be able to tell their family members "See! I told you so!" Still others think that a social collapse would result in more freedom, and the ability to remove social parasites at will.

I have a feeling many people think they want anarchy, but once it came around they'd be wishing for the old (Democrat /Obama led) government back quickly.

If Nancy Pelosi asked people to turn down the rhetoric, it's only because she went to DU and had a look around.

It has been FAR more rational on the RW sites. The Left can taste and smell the Communism and they want it bad.

It's making them all crazy.

ETA: You don't hunt politicians in the countryside, you hunt them in the cities, hiding among their human hostages.

I think you're not really paying attention. Do you really think in 1930 that the majority of people living in Germany had ANY idea what was about to hit their country? The people who have carried this country have been disregarded and humiliated for decades. Individually, no, they won't do anything. In a large group, or properly motivated, they would be extremely dangerous.

When have we ever seen tens of thousands (more perhaps) of working class conservatives march on Washington? When have we seen people so angry they were almost in tears screaming at Congressmen? This is just the primer.

I think there are 3 types of "Survivalists"

Type I: Due to bad decisions at certain points in their lives, look forward to a major breakdown in society. They feel that once this happens, they will be able to assume their rightful place in society.

Type II: Normal overly materialistic Americans who buy ammo and Mountain house instead of the Top 10 must have gadgets of the new year. They are the "I Told You So's"

Type III: These folks hope and pray that all their ammased food, equipment and knowledge are all for naught, but prepare anyway because its the proper thing to do to ensure their families safety in the event of a major breakdown.

anything less (or more) than the .gov we're supposed to have, by law, is unacceptable.

Lliberalism, comunism, socialism (and their various shadings) have all taken a parasitic hold of the very thing most love, Freedom.

Much like a parent that will do what ever it takes to preserve the life of their child, the same can be said for many here, and they're tired of the never ending assault.

all this pussyfooting around of late, isn't going to get anyone anywhere. people want a stop to it all, NOW, much like what had(still?) been the American way. they just want to 'get r done'

but I also love adventure although I don't think the complete misery that will accompany this adventure will make it a "fun" adventure.
And being able to say I told you so has always made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Whatever happens I know Ill try to make the best of it and to help others when I can.

I like all of the above things also. However, one thing I value is freedom. I want to be free to raise and educate my children in a way that I see fit. I want to worship as I believe God wants me to. I want to be able to protect myself and my family. I want to keep enough of what I earn to survive. I DO give to those who don't have anything, BUT, I want to decide who gets my aid.

Is any of that too much to ask? Am I hurting anyone? These are things that the majority of people living on earth cannot do. I'd trade the luxuries of life for a chance to have the freedom our anscestors in this country did.

Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose. If you want to trade luxuries for freedom, you're perfectly capable of doing so now. Move to the Alaskan interior. Hunt and grown your own food like Dick Proenneke. You won't earn income and won't pay income tax. You can be just as free as after the apocalypse today, if you really wanted to.

I haven't seen anyone calling for what I would consider anarchy, though I have seen a lot of pissed off, stressed out, fed up people who are desperate for change. Honestly more like a reset than just change. This nation is now nothing like it originally was and was designed to be. IMO, not only have we become the very thing our ancestors fought against and worked diligently to protect America from becoming, we're actually far worse. There are a lot of desperate people who want to stop the destruction of our nation and reset it back to what it was originally intended to be. Most of the people I've heard speaking out against various laws (especially unconstitutional ones), out of control taxing, borrowing and spending, ever growing and encroaching government, corruption, our welfare society, etc., seem to want nothing more than a return to what this nation was originally designed to be. I don't see that as anarchy, I see that as a desire for freedom and what's right.

Agreed. I think, at least in GD, the Type 1s might make up a high percentage. Those people would be hosed in an actual breakdown. You will not rise to the occasion. Your penchant for failure will be magnified and you will be food.

The vast majority of ARFCOM is a bunch of fat fuck couch commandos who rant and rave about the country going down the tubes and "voting from the rooftops". While doing so they do absolutely nothing to chance anything. The truth is, if the world actually did shit the bed, they'd be dead within 2 weeks and would spend that entire time soiling themselves and crying about the "good old days".

I don't know if I agree with this very much...We just saw 1.8 Million VERY pissed-off people risk a perfectly good Saturday in DC...and I did NOT know one single person in that crowd.

I would imagine that at least 1/3 of those people would be "3 percenters" ...and MOST of those folks were from the EAST Coast...and not usually known for "standing up for what is right".

We have people here who are ready to fight or are right on the edge. It won't take much more to push many more over the edge. Our problem is public perception. We are all surrounded by sheeple who are led by the nose by a complicit media. Few of us will have the courage and determination to confront the overwhelming opposition to us. Now, if we could assemble in one state by the millions and surrounded by like minded Americans.....we'd still get slaughtered! And don't think for a second our overlords would hesitate a second to make Waco-like examples of us.

Type IV: Will be preying on the 1st 3 types. They can go without a bath for weeks, they are true woodsman, and can live in the sticks indefinately, they can shoot anything, they will eat anything or go without food for days at a time while hunting one of the above. They have the genetics, not neccessarily the most intelligent but very hardy makeup, from generations of family having to actually do physical work to provide for their families

If TSHTF, I suggest types 1 and 2 just kill yourselves.Type III, hide your daughters
