I made an order late last week and sent them an e-mail to make sure everything was in stock.  I get an e-mail back and at the end it said “Thank you and Happy Valentines Day."

WTF ammuntiontogo?

It's just a subtle reminder to have your Valentine's day order placed in time.  Remember nothing says "I Love You" like a pallet of ammo.

I placed an order on november 7th. Told it would be 4-6 weeks before it shipped. 2 weeks in I emailed them to cancel on a friday morning. Tuesday afternoon I got a reply saying my order shipped earlier on tuesday and I could not cancel

I think its safe to assume my order got put to the front of the line only after I tried to cancel.

That's o.k.

Midway USA sent me a happy birthday email.

It's called marketing and it's good for business.

That is exactly what happened to me. Placed an order for some .45 Golden Sabres. Shopping cart was acting funny so I called. They said they had no record of the ammo, and I told them, "that is okay, I have a line on some locally."  Well, lo and behold a day later, I got a UPS email saying ATG has shipped out the ammo. Kind of pissed me off a little bit as I already got the .45 ammo I needed elsewhere, but more ammo is always good.

This is what I was thinking.  Happy Birthday would have been fine, but to sign an e-mail "thanks and happy valentines day" is a little weird.  Especially to do it weeks before valentines day is even here like its Christmas or something.

Try explaining to your wife why you forgot her Valentine while holding an ammo shipment.

Ok that's that as bad.  You made it sound like your woman bitches at you whenever you order ammo.  Glad to know that's not the case because that would be pretty fuckin sad.
