I saw a link yesterday in the post concerning the ammo list that went to a site that had ammo cans on sale. I tried going back to it this morning, but the link has been removed and I have no idea what company it was that had the cans on sale.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Anyone who has ordered those 50 cal cans from Wideners, what was the condition?

Thanks.

1 of 8 had a dent on the bottom and some rust.  Other 7 were great.

I ordered more.

Just got my ammo cans...they're in really good shape with only some minor scratches and light rust spots. My only complaint: Each can has a big piece of green tape with the words "inert ammunition residue" on it. When you take the tape off, it leaves a LOT of gummy residue that's gonna be a BITCH to get off.

Nice cans for the price.

Great cans for the price. Got mine yesterday, definitely gonna get more.

There's a trick to removing the tape and not leaving residue -- you have to pull the tape at a 180* angle to the surface it's stuck on. Basically, pull it straight backwards, or better yet, if you can grab the part that goes over the opening in the top of the can, to the side, and all of the sticky stuff stays with the tape.

One of my cans looked like someone threw some pea gravel and syrup in it, but it'll clean up fine. The others just got a wipe of CLP and filled with ammo.

Laquer thinner took the residue right off without any elbow grease. It also took the yellow lettering off.
