VERY nice... I am impressed. I tried RC planes. I KNEW I was in trouble when I heard the first rule of RC planes:

Taking off is optional
Landing is MANDATORY

Unreal control, I didn't know airplanes were supposed to hover.

Man! I can't even drive my nitro truck around without bashing into stuff!

That is truly amazing!

Holy shit.....

I bet that guy could write his name on the wall if that plane had a pen attached to it.

How the hell could anyone have such control over that, even with years of practice?

I have an ultra stick 40 with a 46 on her, she hovers...Took me a few repairs, but I got it.

Some can, but only for a moment, the aerobatic guys work the clutch in and out. Gravity or thrust must take over when a plane tries to hover. There is no lift created, only thrust in a real plane.

With the RC it is power to weight you can milk in enough power to get rid of the weight and offset the gravity.

I seen guys dip tail's in water and pop ballons at my flying club.

Ah, the Austin Powers theme.  Good ol' cheesy 60's music.

I wonder if that plane has a vectoring propeller.  Sometimes it seems as if it's not traveling fast enough to do those stunts otherwise.

It doesn't it doen't have enything special just about 3x its weight in thrust.

Also, to fly and land that slowly, and turn that sharply the plane must be built very very light.  Very light wing loading.

I did not do well with RC planes as a hobby.

After my second "flying stick" wound up as a smoldering pile of balsa wood, melted electronics, and flaming fuel, I decided to spend my $300 a month hobby money on more durable investments.

(Like ammo!)

Ask Sean D. Tucker...He'd be glad to show you how it's done in a Pitts bi-plane.

But only for a few seconds,  it just isn't as easy in a full scale airplane to find a motor that is light enough AND make the kind of power needed.

The Oracle plane flown by Whane Handly was about as close as it got,  but a flame out of the tubine left him a little short one day,  actually Mr Handley is about 2 inches shorter than he used to be.

Thrust to weight ratio... R/C airplanes can have amazing thrust for their weight.  Not very likely in a real airplane...

I know a guy at work that is into R/C stuff... he can hover several of his planes.   Just takes some practice.  (and some repairs sometimes!)

Did a little digging for you guys that want the details.

The guy flying that posted in this topic,

www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3599718/mpage_2/tm.htm

Tells what the airplane is and there are some recomendations on what to get if you are looking.  BTW you can't purchase thumbs like his.
